Ethiopia Gambela Speciality Coffee is grown by small farmers living and working around the town of Gambela in Western Guji. Their cherries are transported to the dry mill Dimtu in Yirgacheffe, where they are hand-sorted and then dried on raised beds for 18 days. Dimtu Mill is one of the most technologically advanced and modern dry mills in Yirgacheffe. The station features Pinhalense equipment, 150 drying beds, a shaded experimental area, temporary housing for workers, and a modern farmhouse for management and visitors.
The Gambela region is known for producing some of the most dynamic and unique coffee varieties coming from the Guji zone. This particular batch is classified as Ethiopian Coffee Grade 1, indicating that it has undergone the highest level of cherry selection and manual sorting after processing.
This coffee has bold fruity notes and a silky, tea-like quality, distinguishing it regardless of the brewing method you choose.
